Hi i am going to install some new seats in my Octavia with help of a friend but have to disconnect the battery.

Being start stop this may throw up some errors, so was wondering if anyone local had the computer and software to clear any codes that come up.

 

 

No need to use VCDS after disconnecting the battery, just drive the car for a few hundred yards.

Thanks yes i found that out i got about 6 errors when i did it last weekend,

got in a panic but drove it for 3 miles pulled over re started the car all errors gone driven perfect ever since.

The codes will still be there until cleared, they’re stored for future diagnostic purposes. However as you’ll have noticed, they won’t affect anything
