2006 fabia vrs Window fault Help needed

So bought a fabia a while back and windows never worked in seen sokeone say that the wires in the door on drivers side may need cleaned and cleaned them then they worked Surprizeingly Then Had turned the car of shut the door ate dinner Went back windows didnt work tried the same trick worked left the car closed the door came back didnt I am very lost when cleaned/wiping the plug after reconecting it works till the car is left for 5 or more mintues any one any ideas?
