Earlier this year I bought a 2020 Superb iV SEL hatch back. The local Skoda branch gave me a list of PR numbers which detailed the spec of my particular car. This included the item 3W6 (additional interior noise suppression). Does anyone know where this additional material was applied? Would have been an added option? Would it have been added to the SEL and upwards cars? or was it added only for the iV spec?  Any suggestions?  

I imagine it's under the carpets and trims, better quality stuff than the original which is just like a cheap foam and fabric.

 

This is a list of the parts that apply to 3W6, so basically its foam on the inside of the wheel arches, underbody paneling and a piece in the boot and thats about it

The one in the wheel arch (fronts) is what I bought recently and will be fitting soon.

 

When I collected it I was underwhelmed as it’s no thicker than a slice of pita bread, it must do something though 😬

Thanks for the info, ApertureS,  Sounds like an attempt at little less road noise.
