!!!NEED ANSWERS!!! Skoda Superb 3 Headlights

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, i'm new with Skoda and i just bought Skoda Superb 3 non Facelift 2019. I want to change the headlight and wondering can i use the Bi-Xenon LED for my car? I heard many people said i can not use it because it's for Facelift version. Can anyone know what the LED headlight i can use? Because i really like that headlight of FaceliftIMG-20240624-WA0017.thumb.jpg.351688e43a9ac2fc18676063952310c7.jpg

Retrofitting the Facelift Superb headlights to the pre-facelift model like urs is possible, but it's a big job.

Ur options r:-

1. Keep ur existing headlights, get better performance bulbs

2. Retrofit pre-facelift Bi-Xenon version headlights.  This will however require new headlight units, D3S xenon bulbs, levelling sensors, AFS modules, power ballasts, light control modules, upgraded BCM, parameter files and coding.

3. Retrofit facelift Bi-Xenon version headlights.  This is even more complex, but doable.  In addition to the above, u will also need a completely different wiring loom, new gateway and BCM modules, facelift headlight units, facelift bumper, and possibly facelift front qtr panels.

I would stick to Option 1 unless u have deep pockets.....very deep.

To add to number 3, you also need the new radar type as the old style won’t fit behind the new bumper.

regarding 2, I think there may be wiring changes also to take into account

If I were you I’d just fit LED bulbs in your current lights.

By the looks of the houses you’re not in UK so you might be in luck

Have a look at https://www.osram.com/ecat/NIGHT BREAKER H7-LED-LED lamps (street-legal)-Car lighting-Automotive/com/en/GPS01_3401765/#products

There’s a list of countries in Europe where fitting these is legal and the Skoda Superb with halogen housing is on the list of approved in quite a few countries but check the link
