Hi All, I have a 2012 Superb Elegance that has had an intermittent issue for a while now whereby I am unable to change the temperature setting of the climate control, the dial just spins around without the temperature setting changing. Over time it has happened more regularly to the point where it is stuck on a given temperature for weeks at a time. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Were you able to rectify it? Did it require replacement of the climatronic unit? Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

I suspect that dial encoder is broken. Do you have VCDS or any other disgnostics tool to read errors?

Thanks for your response. I don't have VCDS, I only have a basic OBD reader. Is VCDS still the best option for fault diagnosis these days? A quick search shows me I can purchase one for about AUD$400.
