Picked up a MK3 15 plate VRS 2.0 TDI after my MK2 VRS TDI was stolen last month and written off.

 

Messaged my usual remap guy and he's told me there is a Stage 1 and Stage 1+ remap available.

 

Stage 1 remap Will add 40bhp making 221bhp + 70nm torque.

 

Stage 1 plus adds 55bhp making 236bhp + 90nm torque.

 

I will be doing a DPF/EGR delete also before getting it mapped. With the DPF I will most likely get it gutted/smashed out inside and refitted instead of a straight piped.

 

Which of the 2 maps is the better choice for the engine and it's turbo? They are both the same price.
