Oil pressure switch fault

Featured Replies

Hello,

Car has had a couple hiccups this past day or so. Only had it two months and has been fine however it has begun showing me a blinking orange coil warning and going into limp mode. This is only after being driven for less than a half mile. I can switch it off and back on again and it's fine. Only other thing not working is the stop start however I'd say this is unsurprising. Oil temp comes up like it normally would and car starts without issue.

Got the OBD scanner on it and its given me "Oil pressure switch: Malfunction P1 64B_00 Electrical fault in circuit".

My first thought is to change the sensors out, my uncle, who is a mechanic, reckons to leave it and see if it does it again as he has cleared the history and therefore told the car to forget about it.

Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions?

Cheers.
