Help with resolving issues found after DTC codes for Park Assist Speaker, Antenna and Onboard Supply Control Unit

Featured Replies

The Roomster's parking sensors have just stopped working, no beep, nothing on the display, nada.

Fortunately my wife realised and didn't keep going backwards. I ran a scan and got the following error codes

B107c14 or 1080340 Park Assist Speaker Open/Short Circuit

Also there was another code:

Head Unit (MMI)

00856 Antenna on the radio

And Onboard supply control unit

03434

My question is does anyone know where the speaker is located, I have been trawling the web for an hour and cant find anything useful, I have seen some people say it is in the B pillar on the passenger side, other things seem to suggest that it is in the boot below the window on the passenger side. Does anyone know?

I assume the antenna is a short, but not sure where to start looking,

No idea at all on the Onboard Supply control unit.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, that'd be really appreciated

Update - B107c14 or 1080340 Park Assist Speaker Open/Short Circuit

this was the parking buzzer.
if anyone has the same issue, in the Near Side black B pillar behind the seat belt is the buzzer

pop the pillar trim off, pop the inside bit of the plasic lugs out, just push them all the way through, then swap out the buzzer and replace.

whole job took about an hour, but the bulk of that was hunting behind the carpet for the plastic pin in the plastic, and having to do the job twice because the metal clip popped off and wouldn’t hold the trim.

next job is the 0343, which I think relates to side light/interior bulbs, which would make sense as it seems that there are 2 that are blown. Then the antenna, which may be a replacement, may be a broken antenna cable or from a quick trawl of forums may just need the nut tightening, we shall see when I get that far.

The parking distance sensors do not work, according to the Skoda dealer, they were all defective.

After replacement by the village garage, he got the attached diagnostic.

When switching to reverse, the car's outline briefly appears on the radio screen (most of the time).

The entertainment CAN bus should work, as the instrument panel displays the radio station.  Another weirdness is that the garage could not reset the "service now" indication. He blames it on a software update of his Bosch tools.

I could do some raw CAN debugging, any tips as this would be the first car I look at.

If it is really a wiring fault, where can I find the loom for the sensors?

I have read elsewhere of this being 'cured' by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to allow everything to reset.

To Robjon:

Disconnection of the battery did not have any effect 😞

Another detail: the car display only shows once, accompanied by a long beep. After that, it does not show anymore when switching to reverse.  After switching of the contact, this repeats,
