Buying a 'review' VRS

Featured Replies

Hey all.

I have put a deposit down on a nice VRS 230 estate, however when looking at online reviews I can see the actual car I am looking at is one used for various reviews.

The mileage isn't too high but just wondering if this is generally a good or bad thing?

Would something like this put you off buying a car?

Are you getting a good warranty with it?

Has it got a Service History showing stuff done, stuff actually done, as in when was the first Oil & filter service?      If it has a VAQ diff has it been serviced when required?

Not that much difference from getting a used car that has been a fleet, company car, or courtesy car / demonstrator, possibly many different drivers.

?

Are there any reviewing it as a track?

3 months warranty with it, service history is a bit scarce if I'm honest, there are receipts for parts i.e. dsg oil but nothing to show the work was done if that makes sense (so could have been done directly by previous owner)

No track reviews from what I can find just general reviews when they released the 230 by the looks of it.

I'll have to look into the VAQ diff service as that hasn't been mentioned.

Do you mean you have asked a Skoda Dealer or Skoda Customer Services for any Service or Warranty History while Skoda / VW UK owned it & nothing much with that?

Yeh I spoke to Skoda and I also have a print out of the 'digital' history and also some paper service work carried out by a Skoda dealer (none of which show anything about the diff being serviced) the only other invoices the dealer I'm looking at getting the car from (not a Skoda dealer) just have receipts for parts but there's no mention of diff oil/fluid at all.
