Carplay connection issues

Featured Replies

Can anyone help please? I’ve been connecting to CarPlay via Wireless/bluetooth on my 3 year old Karoq with no problems. All of a sudden it can no longer respond to my verbal requests eg can’t create a journey, request to play a song etc. I’ve tried troubleshooting and disconnecting/reconnecting, restarted my iPhone etc. Still no joy.

Any insight please? Trying to avoid an expensive trip to the Skoda garage.

Try doing a reset, press an hold the power button untill you see the Skoda logo then release

It's an apple issue.

When the phone connects to the wifi networks it assumes the network has data which it doesn't if you don't have a data plan.

Forget the cars wifi network in the iphone's settings and the phone will use the phones data.

Thank you guys. Sorry for the delayed response. Ended up trying a factory reset in the Skoda and it seems to have work.

Hi all,

Happy to report that in my case, on a 2019 Karoq, updating the firmware from 0475 to 0478 actually fixed the problem!

*The iPhone is an Apple 14 Pro / iOS version 18.2.1

*The system I believe is Amundsen MIB2 or 2.5.

Just to say, unfortunately this revelation occurred after paying hundreds of Euros for 2 different "official" Skoda garages to look into that issue, one of which replaced the USB socket, that did not work... The second place eventually came back after supposedly talking with "Manufacturer engineers", with the problem still unsolved, asking to replace the whole bloody unit for 1800EUR.

Anyways I did exactly as the video shows here, completely for free:

Now it works perfectly, took less then an hour all in all.

Good luck.
