I am looking for a towbar for my wifes fabia estate. I want to get 1 that does not require the bumper cutting. I have seen 1 but was unable to ask the owner.

Max tow weight will be 1000kg braked trailer, and a 50kg noseweight:thumbup:

Forgot to add only a very small cut in the underside of bumper is needed which cannot be seen.

just had my estate fitted with tow bar £170 with a firm in northampton, no probs.

If you look at the underside of the bumper you will see that on the estate it comes right back in contact with the spare wheel well, so there is no space to fit a bar without cutting the bumper.

On the hatchback there is clearance for a bar to exit under the bumper.

Genuine Skoda removeable Bar and electrics are best at approx £230 including hole cover.

Fitted it myself, borrowed tool from local dealer.

Once bumper is removed, if you look carefully you will see a fine line that indicates where the cut should be made, so if you take your time you should be able to make quite a neat job of cutting without the special tool.

PAArsko is absolutely correct about the bumper needing to be cut to fit a towbar on a Fabia Estate.
