I'm considering installing a dashcam in my 2019 petrol vRS. Which is the best fuse to tap the power off of to get "power when the ignition is on" please? I can't see anything in the fuse list such as "cigar lighter, switched" like my old car used to have.

 

I'm thinking of getting a Viofo A139 Pro as the reviews and footage I've seen from it on various dashcam YouTube channels seem really good.

I am fairly certain I used the Rear Wiper Fuse in my 2020 245, which is a 15A fuse (number 47 on the diagram). This is for ignition only operation.

I have since cut a notch in the mirror housing, to be a bit neater and have zero strain on the cable. More than happy to offer some guidance with fitting if you get stuck - just drop me a message. Having done a fair few other VAG cars, the glove box in the Octavia was tricky, and the a-pillar trim crazy! I need to redo the glove box install on mine in a few days, so happy to send some photos.

 

I run a Nextbase 322GW, which I got in a good deal. Have heard good things about Viofo and Garmin too.
