Now when I turn the car on, the passenger side headlight does the AFS ‘dance’, but the drivers side stays in the ‘safe position’.

Can you help me with this?

Sounds like a problem with the headlight positioning motor on the drivers side.

 

Best get a fault code scan done with VCDS or OBDeleven.
