Featured Replies

Evening

i have a Skoda Octavia mk 1.  I am thinking about buying a new one and there is a local garage selling a couple of Skoda superb estates.
Both automatics (28k and 26k miles) are £13995 inc vat,the manuals are £9995 inc vat for the 57k mile one and £10995 inc vat for the 39k mile one.All cars are 2018 18 reg.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Service history, Service history, Service history, Service history...

@Bric  What Engines, petrol or diesel, what size engine?, that makes a difference as to which DSG they will have.

Thank you both for prompt reply.

all cars are ex Ministry of Defense.  I am going to see them on  Thursday so will ask about service history( what are the red flags)?

I will find out engine sizes/fuel and  post on here.  Are there ones to stay away from? Also what is DSG?

my Mk1 has been amazing,  352 thousand miles and still running well.

thanks again

Brian

If they are 2.0 ltr engines petrol or diesel they will be 7 speed Automatics,

they are Automated Manual gearboxes / DSG,s  need serviced every 80,000 miles (Direct Shift Gearbox.)

If they have AWD then that has servicing intervals.

If not 2.0 ltd engines we can tell you about the DSG fitted.

Thank you very much. I don’t know anything about cars so information is invaluable

I have owned a Octavia estate for last five years, just bought a 2020 Octavia estate. The same SE L 1.5 dsg.   Have had trouble free motoring. Previously owned Vauxhall and Volvo estates but found Skoda a great buy.  Been very happy with them.
