  1. Thank you very much. I don’t know anything about cars so information is invaluable
  2. Thank you both for prompt reply. all cars are ex Ministry of Defense. I am going to see them on Thursday so will ask about service history( what are the red flags)? I will find out engine sizes/fuel and post on here. Are there ones to stay away from? Also what is DSG? my Mk1 has been amazing, 352 thousand miles and still running well. thanks again Brian
  3. Evening i have a Skoda Octavia mk 1. I am thinking about buying a new one and there is a local garage selling a couple of Skoda superb estates. Both automatics (28k and 26k miles) are £13995 inc vat,the manuals are £9995 inc vat for the 57k mile one and £10995 inc vat for the 39k mile one.All cars are 2018 18 reg. Any advice would be much appreciated brian

  6. This is the part I am told I need
  7. I was told the name by my mechanic but it’s a bit confusing. A pipe comes out the bottom left hand side and joined that plastic cover at the bottom then the hard plastic covering which goes up the side of a belt. The grey gaffa tape is covering the split in the pipe which is the part I’m looking for. I am pointing to where the gaffa tape is covering the split next to the fan belt.
  8. As I was driving the pipe at the bottom came lose and the covering mover and came into contact with the belt next to it which created a hole in the plastic bit. Would it help if I sent a photo of it?
  9. Sorry yes I mean the plus sign and plastic cover. Sorry for confusion
  10. Mike you are a star. The only thing I am confused about is the hard plastic bit? Is that just a cover? The link you kindly sent doesn’t show it.
  11. I’ve found this. Is this the info?
  12. Thank you very much for quick response and info I really appreciate it. Ok I’ll have a look and get back to you. thanks brian
