Hi team. 
my Skoda kodiaq has recently said gear box emergency mode and only letting me access 2,4,6 I have read this is a common problem. 
my car has only done 56000km, and is 2021 so technically under warranty. 
However idiot me did not get it serviced on time, does this mean my warranty is void. Seems like it is a common problem regardless. So gutted!!

Unless the missed/delayed service related to a gear box required item, I believe your warranty should not be affected. 

Assume you have DSG - could you post details of your engine/gearbox? (engine code) Other members should be able to offer advice.

The Warranty should not be void because of the DSG not being serviced.

 

If the DSG is a DQ381 then it is not due a service by SKODA / VW,s Recommendation, Guidelines, Specification or by any measure until 128,00 km or so.

 

If it was a FWD and had a DQ200 dsg then that has no servicing interval, 

and a DQ500 is not until 64,000 km.
