So I was driving down the road casually yesterday and my afs error ligh warning flashed up on the dash I figured maybe there was something up with the headlight. Did a scan with my carista obd tool and it said it cannot connect to  the central electrics module. 

This morning I went out to the car and the afs lights were working but now my wipers aren't working. Window washers are working and rear wiper works fine. Central electrics module becomes available every now and again. The latest error this afternoon is the headlight washer has a fault to ground. I've checked every fuse in the car and every fuse is fine. Biggest issue is I live in Ireland and badly need wipers. Anyone encountered something like this before?

Check the starting car main battery can cause electrical gremlins.
