Rear wiper parks in the centre of the screen

Featured Replies

Fed up with rear wiper hassles with this car!! Here is the latest:

Working fine for months after my last replacement motor (second in five years) but today it has decided to "park" in the centre of the screen, straight up, pointing at 12 o'clock.

It works perfectly well; sweeps correctly from end to end other than when it has finished it parks in the middle.

Any ideas please?

They're a bit **** aren't they. I had mine replaced a little over 2½ years ago under warranty. The new one is now occasionally stopping mid sweep. I didn't renew the service package / warranty as I was thinking of selling so I just avoid using the rear wiper. I might take it out as some point and see if I can clean it up as suggested in the thread below

Thanks. Mine isn't pausing; it finishes it's sweeping cycle then stops in the middle.

Yes. That's what I said - or at least what I meant. It takes another activation (or 2 or more) to get it to park itself in the correct place.

Oh, no. I assumed you meant it paused in sweeping.

Mine will not park in the correct place, no matter how many times it is activated.
