MK2 rear mud flaps

HI, anyone fitted rear mud flaps to their MK2.

I have some and cannot seem to work out how to get them to fit, fitted the fronts no problem.

I didn't have an issue fitting some to my MK1 but cannot work out how 2 of the fasteners fit.

They are the top fastener you need a new clip for, not sure where the clip goes and do you need to drill a hole for it,  and the one on the bottom row you need to drill the hole for, cannot work out how to fit the nut , Item E for it.

Any help much appreciated
