12v battery issues on Octavia IV

Featured Replies

I know there have been various threads about this previously, but today after owning the car for just over 10 months, I have asked the supplying dealer to start the process for me to reject the car.

Earlier in the year i had cause to have the car towed once to the dealer (to ensure I got a loan car) and the second time i drove it.

Since the end of May I had not had any issues until a few weeks ago, but now, almost every time I use the car I get the 12v issue.

The first I know of it is when I try and communicate with the car via the app.

Next, the car will only unlock by using the key. (Hands free does not work)

When the car switches on, it takes about 2 minutes for the infotainment system to boot up.

Other issues are that if the car has the 12v issue, I cant set the car to charge remotely (as it is set to start charging at midnight).

I have explained that I don't want to go out every day hoping the car will start.

Has anyone successfully managed to reject a car?
