intermittent battery drain & ESP fault Laurin & Klement

Featured Replies

Hi,

Having multiple electrical Faults

With my Skoda Octavia MK2

Which started after the drain pipe from the sun roof going down to the left wheel arch came loose & started draining water into the passenger side foot well.

Now it's getting an intermittent battery drain which has got to the point of draining every 2 days.

Already fixed the water ingress issue & is fully dried out.

Also intermittently coming up with

Airbag Fault, ESP fault & Lower Voltage limit exceeded. + The right side wing mirror is not opening outwards when you unlock the car or turn the ignition.

Battery has been tested when I had to call out a recovery truck & he said the battery's fine & is retaining it's charge.

Taken into Panks auto electrics in Norwich & after paying him near on £100 he still couldn't find a fault.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Is there modules underneath the carpet in the foot well, seems to be a short somewhere, annoying that he wouldn't find the fault..

Or any other possibilities?

Battery earth strap corroded?

Heated seats and the telephone module is bolted to the floor under the plastic cover below the drivers seat.

Don't think it's gonna be that, coz that's inside the engine bay & not in the passenger footwell, definitely will have a look though & see if it's corroded.. thanks for the suggestion..
