HI ALL, I AM NEW TO THE BRISKODA FORUM BUT NOT NEW TO SKODA , ( SORRY I SHOULD HAVE INTRODUCED MYSELF FIRST WILL DO STRAIGHT AFTER POSTING THIS ) MY SON BOUGHT A SKODA OCTAVIA 2018 , 18 PLATE VRS ESTATE WITH 144000 MILES , AND ALL WAS WELL FOR 9 WEEKS UNTIL A ELDERLY LADY DECIDES TO RUN INTO IT WHILE IT WAS PARKED OUTSIDE MY SONS HOUSE. ANYWAY LONG STORY SHORT THE CAR WAS WRITTEN OFF CAT S , AND PAID OUT BUT HE BOUGHT IT BACK FOR VERY LITTLE MONEY AND HAD IT REPAIRED PROPERLY AT A PROPER BODYSHOP AND THEN FULL MOT WHICH IT PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS , NO ADVISORIES . THE PROBLEM IS WHEN HE COLLECTED THE CAR AND STARTED DRIVING HOME IT WILL ONLY GO TO ABOUT 20MPH, NO LIGHTS ON DASH ETC , ENGINE STILL SOUNDS SWEET BUT ABOUT 20 IT AS FAST AS IT WILL GO , I HAVE AN AUTEL READER AND PLUGGED IT IN BUT NOT BRINGING ANY CODES UP . DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS RESETTING AFTER A SHUNT , IT WAS HIT O/S REAR DOOR / REAR QUARTER / AXLE . ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED .

Someone asked similar yesterday and i think theirs was not going over 40 mph after the bought back a write off.

I might see where that thread is later on.

REALLY SORRY COULD BE MY SON POSTED I DIDNT REALISE HE WAS ON HERE, I FOLLOWED HIM TODAY AND IT IS DEFIANTLY 20 ISH MPH . IM NEW THE THIS FORUM THING . SORRY IF I HAVE POSTED IT WRONG .

SORRY I POSTED IN WRONG PLACE OBVIOUSLY , FIRST TIME EVER USING ONE OF THESE FORUMS DIDNT REALISE IT WAS IN WRONG SECTION , 

I will flag it for a mod to move it, save you posting it again.
