Škoda Rapid 1.2 TSI 2016 engine issues

Featured Replies

Hello,

we have a company rapid that started causing trouble a few months ago.
The engine would randomly shut off after it gets up to operating temperature and refuse to start back up until it gets cold.
We brought the car to multiple mechanics certified to work on skodas and even to skoda themselves and the vcds showed nothing.

We have given up on the car because we ourselves are no experts on cars and the actual experts couldn't find an issue, if anyone here has any advice on what to look for or what to try, please do tell.
We have spent over 1500$ trying to get it fixed so we're debating if it's even worth spending more just to be told there's no issue.

Thank you for any tips

Is the engine speed sensor (crank angle sensor) something that has been checked or replaced?

I am currently waiting on the full documentation from all the mechanics but as far as i know they replaced the fuel pump, oil filter, egr valve and one mechanic had the engine run until it died and couldn't find any problems with it

Vcds memory and scans after failure show no info and we had it serviced 4 times.
Replaced high pressure fuel pump and seals, turbo throttle redone, crankshaft and camshaft position sensors replaced and afterwards the entire fuel system
