Does the mkiv have a menu anywhere for start stop status? My old passat had and would give reasons for not working like “ power consumption high” engine must be running “ etc etc

I guess it is a generic - there isn't enough charge in the battery.

 

What makes me jump every time is when it decides to restart the engine  whilst I'm sitting in a traffic queue eyeing up the local talent.
