Spare key and blade

Featured Replies

I only have one key for my Skoda Kodiaq. To which I have lost my car key blade. To make the matters worse I never received the spare key. Now to make the spare key and the blade do I have to go to Skoda or can somebody else do it? It's a not flip blade key (keyless start)

Assuming you’re in the UK, KESSY is standard on all Kodiaq’s, including the flip-style key fobs. The blades on the Kodiaq keys are removable - presumably this is how you lost only the blade? Therefore you do have the flip-style fob?

Most key cutters and car key reprogramming requires a key / fob / blade to copy. The others (including Skoda) will require access to the vehicles ECU.

Hi, I have the non flip style key and has keyless entry system like all new cars with a push start button .The metal blade key is also missing. So what options do I have? Is it going to be Skoda dealer only?

I think you’re going to need to find an automotive car key programmer local to you (or a mobile one), or use your local Skoda main dealer. I’m pretty sure the non-Skoda key programmers will be able to get you sorted without having to pay main dealer prices.

I understand now. I am struggling to find a local car key programmer. I am based in the north west if you know anyone please let me know.
