Is it both windows that are working for a while then stop?  If so that's usually a sign of a failing driver's side module.

I'm no electrician only had car a week it's wierd the drivers side never worked apparently the kid I got car off he's already changed the motor and the window buttons still nothing on the drivers side I pulled the main connector out the drivers door and plugged back in still drivers side didn't work but passenger side worked for few seconds ,so I tool the passenger side drivers card off that's when I checked the wires and noticed someone had attached the 3 brown wires I mention to a main brown wire comin from the door connector but bad condition so re attached the 3 same wires then passenger side window was working fine for about 10 seconds now back to nothing

It's actually normal for the door looms to have splices where single brown earth wires split off to two or three places, it may be that you're looking at this, with some more recent tape added.

Check that the motor currently fitted to driver's door is 6Y2959802,  and also says SK240DDRS on the same label.

Passenger side motor is a slave to the driver's side master unit, so won't work more than briefly until it's got a working driver's side one.

I can repair the drivers side module,  if it's the correct part. Message me for details if you like.

Hi guys
I'm having a similair issue with my Fabia, however both windows are dead.
I've checked the fuses, and they seem like they're in working condition, I'm unsure where to go from here.
I'm also pretty sure that the buttons are in working condition, I've only had the car for about a month, so my knowledge of its previous working condition is limited.
Do i understand correctly that the passenger window won't work if the drivers side motor is dead?
The windows make no noice or movement at all, when the button is pressed
