Kamiq decisions decisions

Featured Replies

Hi,

First post on here. I’m in the process of buying a new car. I have decided on the Kamiq due to friend driving one and been very happy. I’m in a quandary on which one is the best buy. I’m stuck between the new SE L Edition or new Monte Carlo. Not a car buff and the more I read the more confused I get😀. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Welcome.

What engine are you looking at, 1.0 TSI or 1.5 TSI ACT. and manual or DSG?

1.5 TSI DSG

When I bought mine, the SE L Exec had more of the equipment I wanted than the MC. Other than that, and the cosmetic differences, there is little to choose between them. I would check the spec of both in terms of the equipment that matters to you (and whether those items are standard or extra cost options), and decide accordingly. Whichever you choose you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent choice. I have that too. Cracker of an engine, smooth gear changes and great mpg

I agree the 1.5 tsi is a nice engine. As to what spec you pick you’d best look at the brochure or use the online configurator to see what options you’d like come as standard or would need to add.

The specs have changed slightly since I bought mine with the new Edition models, but I ended up choosing the Monte Carlo as it had the matrix led headlights (which are amazing)  amongst other options I wanted which at the time would have made a SEL more expensive than the Monte Carlo. The configurator can be found here https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/.  And Link to brochure below.
