2016 Superb MK III Linked tyre pressure monitoring system faults?

Featured Replies

Hello All,

First time poster in this particular forum, and first time Skoda owner!

Hoping for advice if any is possibly forthcoming please.

Have a recurring issue with the seemingly dreaded TPMS warning lights, with what I think is a related issue.

Situation happens as follows: driving merrily along (generally) A roads, main cabin display comes up with "Parking pilot unavailable to be used" (or something like that, can't recall exact wording). I'll then (within five seconds) have the outside temperature sensor reading go blank - dashed out - and a ping from the TPMS, which then clears after maybe two to four minutes. I should add that I've previously had multiple TPMS warnings, which have cleared with a pressure check and a reset. I've also currently got a yellow warning light for the front anticollision alert system, for which I took the motor to a local garage, who said the radar unit required calibration. Driven it for maybe a month and a half since then with the light on, while I gather the motivation to go to specialist for recal, and I now have cruise control inop. white warning on the dash.

Not sure whether these are all connected, so I guess I'm after any correlation/experience with similar issues/the price of fish? Have seen other posters related experience with TPMS and associated ABS sensor issues; this was going to be my next point of attack with local garage.

Any help or advice appreciated!

How old is your Battery?

Thanks for responding - a good question. I don't know - I haven't changed it since I bought the car, mid-last year. I haven't had anything else that would indicate a dodgy battery though. Mfr date by negative terminal?

Ah, a lot of faults like this seem to appear when there is a battery issue. And with this nice weather we're having it might have made it worse. But, yours is still fairly new.
