Help My Rear Bumper

Featured Replies

Hello Skoda Lovers

I have slightly misshaped rear Fabia bumper and series of small scratches on the bumper after a small prang this weekend. I have managed to get the majority of the scratches out. I have feeling that scratches reappear in time and considering it is a Black Magic, it will stand out like saw thumb.

Does anyone now how much a new rear bumper cost? and the spraying cost involved?

Also does any one how to seal scratches to stop dirt getting in them. So that they do not reappear. I have put some autoglym super resin polish over them, is there anything else I can do?

As anyone used the alloy wheel repair kit in Halfords if so is it any good?

You've posted in the wrong forum really. This is aimed at Website help and feedback.

You should mention which car it is.

If it is a Fabia vRS then they are notoriously difficult to replace as they come in two parts which need to be bonded together.

Thread moved to Styling and Car Care, althought it could also be in the Fabia forum. Is it just the plastic cover for the bumper, ie the outer shell, which is damaged? I don't know the price for the vRS but it varies between around £108 and £129 for the standard hatchback/notchback models, and I would expect the vRS one to cost more.

Yes it is just the outer shell is damged. Although you have to look hard to notice the misshape. Thanks for the qiuck reply. Was that price inculding spraying?

Manufacturer prices are a rip off. I recently needed to buy a bumper, osf wing and indicator for my daughter's N reg fiesta.

Ford - £230, Midland panels - £57 for the lot.

Shop around!

Respraying is extra on top of whatever the shell costs. There will also be labour charges for removing and replacing the shell - although it should be a DIY job. devonutopia (Jason) has posted a series of photos showing how he fitted a vRS rear bumper to his car. Try a Search for Fabia vRS bumper and you should find the link to the photos.
