Not seen an octy like this before

Featured Replies

This might be an example of my general ignorance, but I was stuck behind this octy in a que of traffic.

It had amazing alloy wheels, and it had a little badge with se or something on it. I athought that was an audi thing. Also is that spoiler always on a 1.9 TDI?

If it is a standard thing I might look into getting one instead of a fabia (assuming I am ever able to)

I am sorry if this is a totally standard feature.

Looks pretty much standard to me :)... May possibly be a vRS spoiler, i'm not sure if the 1.9's came with them. Possibly they did... i dont know :D

There was an early non-VRS that had a spoiler.

What did the little badge say on it and where on the car was the badge?

The very last few mk1 TDIs had vRS spoilers, sportier bumpers and wheels.

Was probably one of those.

If this was an SE model then thats about right, they had the spoilers and lots of spoke alloys, I think they were a free upgrade that happened around the time the octy 2 came out to try and boost the sales of the octy1, as a replacement for the ambiente I believe

Same kit they bunged on the blueline and silverline models back in 2003/4.... multispoke alloys, vRS spoiler.

Yeah that is an Ambiente SE. They made 130bhp versions of it which where quite cool.

The one pictured is a 130bhp indicated by the TDI badge.Came with a 6 speed box.

My dad has a 90 bhp auto, got cruse control as std difficult to clean alloys, rear spoiler, and had rear parking sensors fitted aswell.

The Ambiente SE had the pd130 engine, a spoiler and 16" alloys similar to the vrs ones.

It didn't have the sunroof or climate control that's standard on the Elegance.

Oh, and I'm guessing your parcel arrived ok. ;)
