Park Pilot Error

Featured Replies

I have a MK3 Octavia scout, rear camera and parking sensors.

I had it in for a service last week including DSG service.

First time I've reversed since was this weekend, and as soon as I put it in reverse the camera comes on as normal but then I get a popup saying "manoeuvre braking unavailable", then "park Pilot Error" and the camera turns off.

Resetting the info unit makes it work until something triggers a rear sensor, in which case it happens again.

I'm assuming it's just coincidence that it's happend just after a service, but was wondering if there's something I can try before taking it to a garage?

Google said that there might be a reset button on the park Pilot module?

Any advice on where to start troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated

We really need a proper scan done of the car first.  Good news....I'm just down the road just across the border if you want to make use of my VCDS/ODBEleven setup.

I'll shout you a coffee if needed.

That would be much appreciated!

I'll get the coffees though :)

I've emailed the garage that serviced it in the first instance in case they do know what's up, but I have a feeling they'll just say it's coincidence even if it's not 😂
