Problem with the electronic opening and closing of the tailgate

Featured Replies

I have a 2018 Skoda Superb hatchback, and when I try to open the tailgate from inside the car, using the tailgate buttons, or the key fob, it opens about 15 cm. When I press the button again, it opens a bit more, and after pressing it about four times, the tailgate fully opens. If I try to close the tailgate using the closing button, it does not start closing or respond in any way. However, the button does react when held down to reset the opening height, but this does not help with the issue.

I've not experienced this particular problem, but it might be worth replacing the key fob battery.

Okey i will try that, but does the key really matter if its not even opening correctly from inside the car or the handel of the boot.

I'm not sure about the tailgate buttons, but replacing key fob batteries is a quick / low cost approach.
