Question on Skoda MK4 Octavia Estate Boot size

Featured Replies

Hi all

I'm looking at trading it my trusty seat estate for something with a bigger boot (and rear seat leg space for my bean pole like eldest!).

I know the stated capacity of the boot is 640l with the seats up(looking at the petrol 1.5T most likely), but is this measure from the floor of the boot to parcel shelf or to the ceiling. I think it is to the parcel shelf.

Also, does anyone know how much space there is  with the seats up but to the ceiling (or the additional space above the parcel shelf but up to the seat headrests etc).

Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks - that is helpful. However, I have to say that it has confused me as it says up to the parcel shelf is only 423l, which is much less than the 640l quoted...

I'm not sure if I am understanding the measuring process properly!

The hybrid iV models have a smaller boot area because of the battery. The estate is about 490 ltrs

Yep. According to the 2020 brochure I have the non-hybrid estate is 640 ltr to the retractable parcel shelf. No mention of capacity to the roof.

Be aware that the rear screen is at quite an angle, much less upright than my previous mk2.
