FABIA 2023 Dashboard Rattle

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I have a 2023 Skoda Fabia which i very like. but for a couple months i was struggling with random interior rattle noises.

When i drive on cobblestone roads, or if i drive past by a patch on clear road, or on shaved asphalt etc. these rattle noises became clearly audible but i wasn’t able to locate.

Couple days ago luckily i discovered that it is coming from dashboard. As you can hear from the video there is bumpy sound coming from dashboard moving and touches the plastic area near to windshield and a-pillar plastics (that is annoying but okey can be solved with felt tape i guess).

but i have no idea the other birdy sound with dashboard rattle sound comes from.

it is usually audible after heating worked for some time and as you can see at the end of the video when i press with my hand to a/c control unit that birdy noise is audible i believe it comes from inside dashboard and somehow related with climate control components.

you may think it is normal because of  pressing to the trims but these sound coming on its own in bad roads and its annoying.

if you had any issue like this or have any idea what is the source of the sound please let me know. because my dealership not helped me at all. thank you

Mine is the plastic strip across the passenger side fascia. Service technician told me it was the mirror cover damaged by Halfords when they fitted the dashcam. Ergo I must be an idiot and it's not Skoda fault.
