Oil Separator, 1.4TSI CHPA EA211

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I was told my Skoda main dealer a few weeks back that I had an Oil Separator leak and they quoted me north of £400 for the job. It is a minor leak but I would still like to get it sorted. I can't seem to find very much information on it at all though online, so asking here for any help please. Been told by some people that a minor leak can just be left, online some sources say you lose pressure etc. Thanks for any help!

I don't think you will get many people on here saying anything other than - its an oil leak - get it fixed.  The lifeblood of your engine leaking out is never a good thing.

The part appears to be pretty cheap, but I can't quite tell from the photos here if there's a separate gasket, or it's integrated. Looks more like a groove for a gasket, or for sealant?

Might just be able to remove, clean up and re-seal your one, if it is a sealant fit.

Access may be awkward; dunno. It's on the front of the block.
