Number Plate Screws

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Any of you know where to get the proper screws to fit in the factory number plate holes ?

Due to collect a new Sportline soon and I know they will just drill nasty holes instead of using these standard ones.

Don’t want my new car like this picture so I plan on buying some and telling them not to drill.

They are just M6 x 8mm - your choice of the high security type/allen head/torx etc.

From my experience they use the proper holes\screws on the back but use self tappers on the plastic front bumper

Just standard numberplate screws available in the little kits at Halfrauds etc..... with the coloured caps too.

I always just use loads of the double sided plate tape as I don't like having to drill my plates when I put them on the car.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I’ll order right ones and warn them not to drill the boot 👍
