Dodge Ram

Featured Replies

We are currently carrying out some development work on the dodge ram diesel engine.

Which happens to be a cummins 5.9 litre straight 6.. i just looked at the latest torque curve and its producing over 500Nm of torque at idle! I need that much torque in my life!

Peak torque is 880 Nm @ 2700 rpm, peak power is 325bhp

i want i want i want!!

You could pull a house and still only be ticking over...

Well mine pushes 483nm from a mere 4 cyl 1.9. :D Although thats way up the rev band not at idle.

Any economy facts on that engine? ;)

500Nm at idle.. That's cool. What sort of torque does a proper arctic lorry engine produce?

Around 2000 nm at peak. I used to drive a DAF 95 XF, 430 BHP, and nearly 2000 nm.

It used to run at 44 tonnes with no trouble at all. :D

8 mpg when pulling the low loader though.

If you need to ask you cant afford!! :P

not that great I would guess nout on the dodge website only the fact of 325hp and 610lb/ft, I'm guessing it would be in the area of high teens late 20's

Thats a lot of torque! What sort of 0 to 60 time would that get in a fabia? blantently sub 3. :D

By the way guys... how do I put a picture in my sig?
