A friend has a problem with the rear seat locking mechanism on his Karoq. It is the one on the driver's side (the bigger of the 2 rear seat backs). It locks OK but the little red warning button doesn't go inside the mechanism as it should. You can buy the mechanisms and the fit seems simple enough. But it looks like the back of the rear seat needs to be removed to do the replacement. Does anyone know how to remove the back of the seat without damaging it please? All help appreciated.

I can't guarantee it will solve your problem but it might.
