Citigo trunk wont open

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

I recently bought a 2013 Skoda Citigo. The seller informed me that the trunk doesn’t open with the button or key, but it does open manually. At first, I thought the tailgate lock was broken, but since it works manually, I suspected the issue might be electrical.

I checked the wiring and found that no power is reaching the button. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Could it be a fuse, wiring issue, or something else?

I tested it out of this wiring, bear with me i just took a picture of the part…

Any help would be much appreciated!

Check for a broken wire in the part of the loom that goes from the top of the body to the boot lid.

The wires are covered in a black rubber sheath.

This is where they get bent and can break.

Open the boot lid first.

Thanks. AG Falco.
