Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

Featured Replies

I own a 2013 Octavia VRS, and the alloys are in need of refurbishment.

Has anyone used a company they would recommend? I’m specifically looking to have them diamond cut rather than just powder coated.

Looking for options in the Glasgow area.

Part of 2 of wheel refurbishment.

I'm feeling a bit uncertain about what to do next. Has anyone opted to have their wheels powder-coated instead of diamond-cut?

Some people have mentioned that while diamond-cut wheels look great initially, they haven't lasted long before corrosion starts creeping back.

I'd be keen to hear your thoughts—what’s been your experience?

Diamond cut are useless in the UK. All it takes is a bit of gravel to flick up, or some salt, and it's downhill from there.

I have 18" Geminis. Towards the end of the year I will either get them refurbed in an anthracite colour or, whoops, pick up some new wheels in that colour.

Diamond cut just doesn't last in the UK, and when it does go, it looks particularly horrendous.
