What is this?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I fairly recently changed from a 2016 SEL Estate to a 2023 L&K Hatch.

My 2016 car had empty storage compartments left and right in the boot.

But the new car has this grey unit in it.

Looking at the handbook doesn't make it clear (to me anyway) what this is.

Sorry if it is a dumb question.

Thanks in anticipation.

If your new car is an L&K - that's a subwoofer for the sound system.

Also, you should have a removeable door that covers it (and also holds your anti-slip parcel chocks). Is it missing, or just out of shot?

Thanks Chris. That makes sense now. I have the Canton system.

Yes I took the door off to take the photo, and I do have the anti-slip chocks.

I feel better knowing!

Excellent - it's all good in that case.

BTW - as a fellow 2023 Hatch owner, shout if you want any inspiration for accessories to add to the car. I pretty much have added every genuine Skoda accessory to my boot and cabin, so happy to provide pics and advice.

So far I am still getting to grips with the Canton sound system. I know it is all to save the trees etc, but I do wish we could have a proper handbook that actually relates to your own vehicle rather than a generic one that includes options that we don't have, and a load of QR codes to find what you need to know.

Maybe it's a generational thing.

Thanks for your offer of information. Yes it would be good to know what you have added. So far I have only added luggage nets as I stupidly left mine in my old car when I traded it in.
