Like several other Mk4 owners on the Facebook Skoda Mk4 owners group, I have an issue with the Satnav not repeating in the speedometer as it is supposed to. Users on the group have indicated that this is a known software issue on the Mk4 and it requires a software update installed by a Dealer, but the update was not available as yet a month or so ago.

Has any owner had this issue and had it successfully resolved by a dealer update.

No, still waiting. Collected mk4 L&K estate mid December when it was promised as an update. All good except that. Loading the boot and accidentally my foot strayed under the car. Rear hatch closed and I discovered the auto-stop-on-obstacle works. Obstacle being me.

Is it possible to turn off the foot sensor so the rear lid does not close with me halfway in trying to move bags to back of boot?

Sorry. Probably not the right thread to ask that question! Newbie learning🤦‍♀️

Yes, check the infotainment system when the car appears on the screen (in the main menu), swipe your finger toward the trunk area.

There you should find a few settings related to the tailgate, usually under something like “Easy Open.” From that menu, you can completely disable the foot sensor function if it’s causing issues.
