Hi there. Amber engine warning light (solid, not flashing) came on while I was driving today. Any first checks I should do before taking it to garage?

an amber eml coming on could be for several reasons. only way to know what it is is get it plugged in to a diagnostic tool and read the fault code history.

did anything change in how it was driving before vs after the light coming on? did it go into limp mode for example?

Not that I noticed. I expect, as you suggest, I’ll have to get garage to do a diagnostic check. Thanks for your advice.
