Retrofitting possible, question of effort and money.

the DCC chassis is required, the control unit, wiring and programming

The DCC chassis ? Or you mean the dampers and suspension ?

@Ayeshen I was going to suggest who you might approach to see about having the upgrade but then spotted your location.

Is DCC offered on cars in your location and could you go try one if up for sale anyplace and see if you think worth spending on having retro fitted?

Yes DCC is offered but dealership won't install it. So i am stuck doing it myself

A dealer near me wouldn't even install power fold mirrors as it 'wasn't a Skoda approved repair'. Not sure if they were telling the truth, or just couldn't be arsed.

Anything is possible, with the right amount of money. All joking aside, to fit DCC you're probably better off selling the car and getting one with DCC - I can't imagine it will be any less than thousands of dollars, and it's not like (I assume) you have a stream of breakers, etc.

How do you come up with thousands of dollars? For example, a Golf 8 retrofit kit: I just found this on AliExpress:

€1,320.45 | OEM for VW Golf 8 Passat B8 Rteon Tiguan TERAMONT Golf 7 ID4 ID6 DCC shock absorber/set

https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHIH0gW

A) I was on about OE not OEM - with import fees.

B) If they need coding and the dealer won't do it, that'll be a job for ODIS, which will probably be £1250+ with postage and import to Mauritius. A simple DCC controller (like APR) can be over £1000.

Stuff like this is a lot more expensive for those outside of Europe/US/etc

When the Car is SFD 1, you dont need Odis

VCDS won't be any good, Autel/OBD11 might not be able to do the dataset, so it might be a job for ODIS/GEKO?

I do see now it's a 2022 so not SFD 2 -not sure why I had in my head it was a 2024

When you buy the unit from the same Car, normaly you dont need an Dataset

I am willing to do it, i just need the parts to do it, this is the only issue i am having.
