Hi all,

I’m struggling to get a definitive answer as to which drivers side rear door lock I need to get for my car.

Some of the parts site where you can search by VIN don’t seem to recognise mine, saying VIN not found.

I’ve got a printout of the options my car was spec’d with, but can’t find a door lock that matches my options exactly.

4H5 - Power-operated child safety lock

4K3 - Central locking w/ radio remote control, interior controls and SAFELOCK

The most likely candidates all seem to have keyless entry listed with the my combination…but I don’t have keyless entry.

Unfortunately I can’t go off the old lock as that was replaced by the previous owner with an aftermarket part.

Can anyone point me I the right direction?

5TA839016P fitted at the weekend and everything works perfectly now. 👍

When I took the door card off though, I noticed the tweeter connector has been snapped off and glued back into place….Probably when the aftermarket lock was fitted.

The wires to the tweeter have completely come away so the next job is to replace that.
