  1. Not yet unfortunately…Thinking of getting it priced up at my local dealers.
  2. I’m convinced my drivers side rear trim was stolen too. 😡
  3. Most people will advise to check your battery is okay, as in, does your start/stop work without issue? Door lock issues are a common fault, so it could just be that you’ve been unlucky with the replacement…I take it that you bought a 2nd hand part? If you went with the exact same part number, it could be that the part you bought is about the same age as the one that’s gone faulty. When I changed my rear door lock, I asked on here and a helpful forum member was able to give me the correct part numbers (there are many variants) I chose to look for the “latest” part number and found a 2nd hand lock on eBay from a 1 year old Taigo that had done very little in the way of mileage.
  4. If you haven’t already, it might be worth trying a recalibration. (Link is for an Octavia, but the same process applies)
  5. The OEM air quality sensors are made by Amphenol SGX Sensortech. The make a few different sensors that detect different gasses but the AZ65A seems to be the one most suited for air quality sensing in vehicles. They can be purchased from Mouser or Farnell for around £30+VAT which is significantly lower than the OEM labelled sensors...I wonder if they're a straight replacement? I've already replaced mine, but if it goes again...I'll probably give this a punt. SGX - SGX Sensortech Sensor
  6. Check your engine code which I think is on your V5 document section D.2 The 190PS engine should be either CUNA, CUDN or CUVC which would be the 6th option down: “MQB, PQ26: Diesel DPF var.1”
  7. Glad you got it sorted pretty quickly! 👍
  8. A kind forum member helped me ID the correct part from my VIN…Have a look at my other post: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/533865-part-number-confusion/#comment-5956571
  9. Think it was from a post on this forum. It might have been this one: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/489821-skoda-superb-mk3-service-manual/#findComment-5501012
  10. Yes, it’s not too difficult once you find the correct part number. The lock is used across various VAG models. Mine came from a 2024 VW Taigo that had 16 miles on the clock…so virtually new and cost a fraction of the £200+ of a new one. I followed the workshop manual which describes hot to take the door card off and also watched a YouTube vid. There a giant plastic “bung” which you pull out to give you access to the lock from the inside. Remove that and loosen the two splined (not torx) bolts that you can see holding the lock from the outside when you open your door. A couple of Bowden cables that you need to remove and slot back into your replacement lock. Not too difficult, just take your time and ideally have someone to hold the door card once you’ve loosed it off just to give you a chance to unplug the speaker and window switch plugs.
  11. @Breezy_Pete Thanks a lot for your help identifying the correct part number. 5TA839016P fitted at the weekend and everything works perfectly now. 👍 When I took the door card off though, I noticed the tweeter connector has been snapped off and glued back into place….Probably when the aftermarket lock was fitted. The wires to the tweeter have completely come away so the next job is to replace that.
  12. Mine did the same after one of my door locks went faulty. Try lock the car with the remote and test each door, to see if it’s locked. In my case, the drivers side rear was the issue. Replacing it meant taking the door card off to get to the lock. You’ll also need a splined driver bit for the lock.
  13. Hi all, I’m struggling to get a definitive answer as to which drivers side rear door lock I need to get for my car. Some of the parts site where you can search by VIN don’t seem to recognise mine, saying VIN not found. I’ve got a printout of the options my car was spec’d with, but can’t find a door lock that matches my options exactly. 4H5 - Power-operated child safety lock 4K3 - Central locking w/ radio remote control, interior controls and SAFELOCK The most likely candidates all seem to have keyless entry listed with the my combination…but I don’t have keyless entry. Unfortunately I can’t go off the old lock as that was replaced by the previous owner with an aftermarket part. Can anyone point me I the right direction?
  14. @TomSko Thanks for the update, and sorry you didn’t get to the bottom of it. It’s not bothered me too much just yet…but then again I’ve not been through a winter with it either. Will put this on the “to do” list as I’ve got a couple of issues on mine that I need to sort out first, but will update the thread of if I happen to come across a solution.
  15. I noticed this on mine too…Had to crank the temp up to get any heat out of the blowers. I haven’t had the car very long so will get a better idea as we approach cooler weather, but it would be good to know if replacing that sensor works for you.
