Rear parking Sensor replacement query

Featured Replies

hi all,

well i finally got my hands on a 2011 mk2 2.0 diesel saloon with only 230000km on the clock. Vcds pointed out that the rear parking sensor buzzer is open/short and needs to be replaced. From digging around i get the impression that the bzzer is located behind the headlining at the rear of the car.

my question is can the buzzer be replaced with any 12v unit or must it be dealer specific ( if so whats the part number please ) ??

thanks in advance and delighted to be back in a skoda again

We just had a long thread about this topic:

hi Andrehj

Thanks for that but as i said i have done the searching on this and other sites. Thats the exact video i saw, which raised my specific question of " will any 12v buzzer work or does it have to be a dealer model "

regards

just a quick update on my 2011 saloon and teh reversing sensors not working :

The buzzer is located to the right of the aerial if you gently pull down the headlining. It is very difficult to remove so i disconencted the wiring and moved it to behind the C Pillar and I connected the Buzzer I got on Amazon which worked perfectly ( Car PDC Parking Warning Buzzer Speaker Reversing Alarm with Wiring 8E0919279 5Q0919279 ).

I secured it in place to the C pillar trim and the sensors are working fine the only issuenow is the display which show the image attached.

I have currently coded out the optical section under vcds but was wondering if anyone has a possible idea as to what is causing the problem

thanks in advance
