Aftermarket DAB aerial - help with connection

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I have an Amundsen MIB1 unit in my 2015 Skoda Octavia Mark 3. The DAB reception has stopped working for several months now. I updated firmware to MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 in the car hoping that would resolve it,but no luck.

It seems it's not an uncommon fault, so I'm going to purchase an aftermarket DAB aerial.

I removed the head unit to check the antenna connector and the DAB aerial is connected with a fakra connection.

When looking at antenna to buy I'm not comfortable or sure if it will connect to the headunit. Can anyone help?

You need awhatever connector the antenna is using (most likely sma) to fakra female

When i had an android head unit, I used the stock antenna with a fakra to sma and ot worked flawlessly.
