CarPlay not full screen – black bezel on top after MU1985 update

Hi everyone,

I have a 2021 Škoda Octavia with the 10" Columbus infotainment system. After the latest update to MU1985, CarPlay is no longer full screen – I now have black bezels on the top of the display.

Before this update everything worked fine and CarPlay was full screen. I already tried restarting both my iPhone and the infotainment system, but the issue remains.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem after MU1985?
Is there any fix or workaround until the next update comes out?

Isn’t this the space where the Trop Down Menu handle is shown when you go near the screen? Don’t know if the infotainment can draw above the CarPlay Window

Car is 2013 Skoda Octavia Mk3 1.4 TSI (CHPA), manual, 118k km driven. Today I noticed an A/C-related droning/humming noise that seems louder than before, but I'm having trouble pinpointing the source. Symptoms: Only occurs when A/C is on. Noise stops immediately when I press the A/C button off (cabin fan still on), Most noticeable at idle and especially after revving the engine and letting RPM drop back to idle. I have owned my Karoq 140TSI Sportline for a few months now, and there is only one thing that bugs me. I travel on motorways a lot in Australia, where we drive on the left side of the road. Hi, I have a '2025 Kodiaq purchased March this year. Car first registered last May and was a Skoda vehicle and had covered approx 5000 miles when I bought it. Hello All, I recently purchased a 2018 Skoda Kodiaq style Diesel. After about a month of purchase while driving in traffic the vehicle gave intermittent jerks a few times and this stopped. Later after another kilometer or so the Glow plugs and ESC error code started flashing followed by a park assist code. Reverse camera stopped working. The idle RPM went up from 900 to 1200 RPM.
