Sunroof randomly wont close

Featured Replies

Several times recently the sunroof (not shade) tries to close but only gets so far and then opens again - as if there is some kind of sensor or other reason why it will not close. No obvious debris in channels etc and somehow (although some times I have to leave it a short time) by perseverance it then seems to work again. I have read about some kind of reset procedure online by holding close button (it is a rocker type switch so I hold it in close position) but nothing happens until eventually it seems to right itself. Its only 8 months old so under warranty but if there is a simple fix would rather do it myself. I have attached a short video if the issue.

I had this, plus other weird faults cropping up in the last three months on my five year old SEL.

Advise from my Skoda garage - Try pressing and holding down the key fob ‘open button’ and then the ‘close‘ one. Worked for me.
